About this photo:
Fairbanks does not usually get a lot of wind in the winter, thank goodness. But recently we have gone through a bit of a windy phase. This week’s shot is from out on the Tanana River at about 4:00pm, with winds gusting to 35 or 40 mph. It’s a mesmerizing sight to have what seems like a living overlay of wispy snow moving about. I was in a bit of a hurry so I missed what was a much more dramatic sunset a short time later.
Settings an processing:
Canon 5DIII, Canon 16-35mm, 1/80 sec, f/22, iso 100, 3 exposures +/- 2 stops, Lightroom, Photomatix.
