About this photo:
It’s been a long cool spring but things are finally starting to warm up a bit. Monday night (April 24, 2017) was the first time the overnight low did not drop below freezing since Sept. 23, 2016. That’s 213 straight days of a nighttime low below freezing. But the snow pack is quickly melting and surrounding rivers, lakes, and waterways will soon start to open up. In this photo the evening sun slowly warms one of the many bogs in the Chena River State Recreational Area.
Settings and processing:
Canon 5DIII, Canon 16-35mm, f/18, iso 100, 3 exposures +/-2 stops, Photomatix, Lightroom
